INFORMATION OF INTEREST
Some tips to help you get the most from a massage:

• Don't hesitate to check the therapist's background; training, license, modalities used, his/her special focus.
• Trust yourself, your intuition as you talk to the therapist. Is he/she professional and respectful? Do you feel a rapport? Will he/she honor confidentiality?
• Beware of any bodyworker who claims he/she can "cure" you. We work to facilitate your body's own ability to heal. We are the vessel or conduit for healing, clients are seen as partners in their own healing.
• Accept yourselves as you are and the fact you are worth every penny and every minute of the massage experience.
• Do not eat an hour or so before the massage, your body energy will be focused on internal organs.
• Be relaxed, not easy for everyone. There is a trust factor. Full body massage is done with a sheet/towel covering you at all times.
• Remove all jewelry and contact lens to allow full access to your body without discomfort.
• To talk or not is up to you.
• Be aware of your body, let the therapist know if anything is uncomfortable; use of oils, scents, partially clothed, music, fountain, - all is your choice.
• Tell him/her about medical history or trouble spots.
• Be aware you may experience emotional releases as the muscles release.
• Your body temperature may drop; if you feel cool, ask for additional cover.
• Enjoy yourself. Try deep breathing and stretches prior to getting off the table to re-orient yourself.
• Change is possible. No matter how chronic a problem may be, some relief is possible.
INDIGO:  Quantum Biofeedback
Belva now offers energetic healing with the biofeedback system known as the INDIGO.  As a client you relax fully clothed with bands on your wrists, ankles and around your forehead while the program reveals allergens, toxins and imbalances in the body.   The session follows with training through frequencies to bring balance to any and all systems in the body.   Multiple sessions can assist the body to find balance and heal.

Nashville has a new professional sports team:  Tennessee Diamonds.  Members of the National Pro Fastpitch, this team has been welcomed with record breaking attendance at Draper Field on David Lipscomb campus at the corner of Belmont Blvd.

Belva has been named the official massage therapist for the team and is working with the ladies on sports injury rehab and recovery on their days off, and pre-game sports massage on many of the game days.  The group of massage therapists working with her are trained in neuromuscular and lymphatics as well as many other modalities - each coming to the table with their own experience and abilities to keep the team members healthy and ready to play their best.  Lynne Ferrell Head, Brigitte McKanna and Tess West provide great health care in Nashville 12 months a year, contact any of us for your bodywork.

Eternale:  Quantum Biofeedback for the spa treatment
Belva has recently brought the Eternale (TM) to her practice.  Based in the biofeedback system, this experience offers body reshaping, a mini facelift, anti-aging and skin rejuvenation while the client just lies back and relaxes for either 30 min or an hour.  Multiple sessions are suggested to see life changing results, although I experienced a wonderful de-stressing and detoxing from the very first session.  
BRAT - Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee

Belva was invited again this year, to assist her client and friends in this challenging athletic event.  Held the third week of September, participants ride daily from state park to state park, following a pre-planned route up to 100 miles that allows them to test their physical stamina while enjoying the beauty of Tennessee.  Belva provides sports massage pre and post ride daily to help their body work more efficiently and dump toxins.  Teaching a theory is unlike experiencing the true benefits of this work.  These riders are her testimony to the advantages of sports massage in athletic competition.

SCENTERED
For those of you who have been long time users of the Scentered products or have wondered why you can't find the web store, a brief explanation.  I had a traumatic experience with hackers last year that was costly financially and emotionally and the site was put on hold at that time.  My creative consultant has some great ideas for getting the web store back up and running - he is just waiting for me to give the nod.   I've had such an exciting year of new directions, I haven't given it the attention it deserves(that's the web site specific, not the essential oils).  If you have a request for any product or your personal blend, just contact me via email or phone I I'll be glad to process your order safely and securely.  The products are available and as wonderful as ever.... testimonies available.  More and more blends come through as the planet and population turn toward natural healing experiences.
Jewelry
While checking out my calendar of events, you may have noticed I work the Nashville Flea Market each month with some friends from Florida.  I am not an expert in precious metals and gem stones, yet I am learning.  I have long known the energy of gems - precious and semi-precious such as quartz, amethyst, carnelian etc.  As I work in frequency healing, I have experienced and used many stones as part of my body work.   Working with Bobby Steverson has given me the opportunity to purchase some items for resale in my store.  When you are there, check it out.   Items are mostly sterling silver and semi-precious stones, gently used items that have been cleaned up, repaired if needed and placed for re-sale.  If there is something you are interested in having, contact me with your request - I may have it in the inventory, or have access to someone who can locate it for you (personal shopper).  Prices vary with the value of metals - yet always a good value when compared with your local jewelry store.  Check out the Book Thongs by Belva - creative uses of broken jewelry and loose stones.  I often use the Indigo to infuse additional energetic healing into the items.
